Welcome Message

Prof. Yousef M Abdulrazzaq Albastaki
President PASPGHAN
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the Pan Arab Societies of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (PASPGHAN), I invite you all to the 18th Biennial PASPGHAN Congress in Dubai! While it’s been some time since we last convened, I hope you are as excited as I am to return to schedule, and Dubai is a magnificent choice to host the congress at this most beautiful time of the year. PASPGHAN congress is the premier gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition event, so I hope you will take advantage of every opportunity to expand your knowledge by attending a variety of sessions, networking with the field’s leading professionals, and reinvigorating your career through continuing education hours. PASPGHAN is a Pan Arab organisation founded by the late Prof. Ibrahim Fayyad and accredited by the Arab Physicians Union in 1998. This organisation was established with 5 member countries only and now it has 14 member countries. Its main aim is to improve the health and well-being of the Arab child. It also aims to facilitate communication and understanding between physicians throughout the Arab world.
The program we have planned for you here in Dubai is a fantastic one, in keeping with what our veteran PASPGHAN members have come to expect. It will be an opportunity to meet and exchange and discuss the variety of topics under consideration.
We encourage all attendees to come together in a conversation with us on topics important to PASPGHAN’s mission and vitality, and crucial to the integrity of our values and commitment to equality and justice for all. As this will be my first congress serving as the PASPGHAN’s President, I want to personally thank all the individuals who are working to make this event a success. Your diligent efforts are vital to this organization and the medical profession.
I hope that you find this year’s Biennial PASPGHAN Clinical and Scientific Meeting, and Dubai welcoming, exciting and inspirational. Looking forward to have you among us on the 26 & 27 November 2021. Please mark your calendar on these dates.
